SMHS Science teacher L'vannah Bielsker is looking for information on some plaques in the original main building:

When we were given the news that the old San Mateo High School was going to be condemned, I took my students on a tour of the school to show them many things they probably never noticed. One of the stops was the Rotunda and the plaques of the San Mateo students who gave their lives for our country. Unfortunately, the plaques have gone missing. We don't know whether they were stolen or lost; we just know they are gone. In addition, the information that was on the plaques is also gone. I am trying to recreate the information so we can make new plaques. I am hoping that the alumni association might be of help.
